Equity Group Hosts Columbia Business School MBA Students for Knowledge Exchange

Dr. James Mwangi from Equity Group was the host when he joined Columbia Business School’s MBA program (2025-2026) at the Equity Centre. Equity Group’s business approach was emphasized during the workshop, along with its essential contribution toward East African entrepreneurship development and economic growth.

Dr. Mwangi presented Equity Group’s development approach to management leaders, who discussed financial solutions and regional business expansion plans. The discussions with Equity Group faculty enabled students to deeply comprehend how the organization supports financial inclusion and economic empowerment.

Guidance from Academic Leadership

Columbia Business School students brought along Professor Stephan Meier, who serves as Chair of the Management Division and holds the James P. Gorman Professor of Business title. Professor Stephan Meier brought significant scholarly experience to the dialogue because of his academic expertise in business strategy and impact investment practice.
